Several diseases like the Rabies Virus, Avian Influenza and West Nile Virus can be transmitted from native wildlife to humans and domestic pets


Wildlife and people are part of the same ecosystem and must share the same air, water and environment to live.  Diseases that affect native wildlife can also affect people.


Human activities cause injury to native wildlife


Animals are injured daily by motorized vehicles, power lines, poisons, insecticides, gunshots, barbed wire, lethal traps and more.
